How do iOS Shortcuts work with Amme?
Amme integrates with iOS Shortcuts to trigger automations when you start a nursing session. You can create shortcuts that dim lights, enable Do Not Disturb, adjust thermostat, or control any HomeKit-compatible device automatically when nursing begins.
Can I automatically turn off lights when nursing?
Yes! Create a Shortcut that detects when you start a nursing session in Amme, then add actions to dim or turn off your smart lights. This creates the perfect peaceful environment for nighttime feedings without touching light switches.
What other automations can I create?
With iOS Shortcuts, you can automate almost anything: enable Do Not Disturb, start white noise, adjust room temperature, close smart blinds, pause music, or even send messages. Any action Shortcuts supports can be triggered by nursing sessions in Amme.
Do I need smart home devices for this to work?
For lighting and appliance control, yes - you'll need HomeKit-compatible smart devices. However, many Shortcuts actions like Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, and iOS settings don't require any additional hardware.
