How do I add the nursing widget to my home screen?
Long-press on your iPhone home screen, tap the '+' button in the top corner, search for Amme, select the widget size you prefer, and tap 'Add Widget'. The widget will show your latest nursing session and which breast to use next.
What information does the widget display?
Amme's live widget shows your most recent nursing session time, which side you last used, and a quick visual indicator of which breast to start with next. All this information is visible at a glance without opening the app.
Does the widget update automatically?
Yes! The widget uses iOS's live activity feature to update in real-time whenever you complete a nursing session. You'll always see the most current information on your home screen without needing to refresh.
Can I start a nursing session from the widget?
While widgets show information, you'll need to open the Amme app to start a new nursing session. However, the widget makes it quick to see which side to use before opening the app to begin tracking.
Is my data private in the widget?
Yes. Widgets display only basic nursing information and don't expose sensitive details. All data remains securely stored on your device with the same privacy protections as the main app - no cloud storage, no tracking.
